Tried some yesterday Garth,came out flat as a pancake(bottled),as everything i'm brewing lately,and for the taste :-& did not like.

sorry to hear that DRB, I did not like it either but then again I ain't a cider drinker, give a bit more time in the warm it may develop a bit of a fizz and some poor soul will want to drink it.

did you find it was well tart with an eggy smell on first opening?

how long did you leave it in the fermenter before bottling? what did you use to prime?

not impressed with this kit, my turbo cider turned out much better

Yes I found it tart,overall horrible,tipped it down the sink :shock: :shock: .

I have recently done a john bull cider and that had a eggy smell to it. Did not taste too good aswell. Wouldn't do any more ciders.

the egg smell is the sulphur created during fermentation, some beer yeasts do this also, it subsides after a bit of maturing in the bottle or keg,

but that wasn't what made this kit horrible, it just tasted like cack....not recommended at all
