Now then,
I recently had a similar problem (thought my wherry was stuck at 1020 after a week). Gave it a stir and the reading was still the same next day, so I bought some Dry beer enzyme. However, when I looked under the lid there was still a few bubbles on the surface (even though there was no activity through the airlock.) Checked hydrometer again and it had dropped to 1016 so I did not add the DBE in the end.
I added some finings to get extra clarity as it was going into a corny and left a few more days. When I checked just before transfer to corny it was showing 1014, (which is about the highest acceptable level) after 2 weeks in FV.
My experience was that waiting that bit longer did the trick. If you still have any bubbles rising I would do the same.

high wherry hydrometer reading
Re: high wherry hydrometer reading
You've got it the wrong way round. If your hydometer is reading 1.005 in water and should be 1.000 then your reading of 1.018 in your wort is actually 1.013 .jmcc1889 wrote:You could right but that will make my reading even higher![]()
i think I will go to my home brew shop and try to start the fermination again

I wouldn't add anything to your brew. Give it a gentle stir trying not to splash it and leave for a few more days and check the SG reading again.
Patience is a virtue in home brewing.
