No don't bin it. Open up the keg, check all the seals, add more priming sugar and close it up again. You probably need keg lube on the rubber rings.
I've opened a few kegs and resealed them, just make sure you stay pretty sterile. No need to dump it in any case just yet.

My guess is add the nomal amout.....about 80g (40z) If the beer is sweet at the moment, the chances are that the yeast is used up or dead and has not converted the sugar, in which case adding more sugar wont help. If the sweetness is there you may be able to try resarting, as chris-x1 was explaining. Either way its a cheap option compared to the drain!

Be sure to check for leaks when you seal it up again. A gas fitter would use a weak solution of washing up liquid (as though doing the dishes) and apply around the outside of the resealed vessel. Look for bubbles/foam. Don't get it inside!

Its fine i have now got pressure in the barrel now just got to wait 3 damn weeks before i can enjoy it

not really to sure i just went to check it undid the lid a little and it had a build up so maybe just not left for long enough
