Cant help on the fg, but a budget keg will only take a few psi. This style of beer should be quite heavily carbonated, so I'd definitely bottle it.

I really HATE bottling, but if needs must, and it will leave me a spare keg.. hmmm spare keg = more beer...
So if I bottle is it still ok to overprime with 200g of sugar?
I've got plastic and old Hoe & champagne bottles, they should take this level of over-priming shouldn't they?
Anyone out there know what FG I should aim for?

Hi, the Brewferm Tarwebier that I have brewed called for 10g of priming sugar per litre and I would say that it is spot on.

I have used a variety of bottles and suffered no explosions.

I am very interested in how your brew goes, as I plan to pimp up the Tarwebier the next time I brew it :)
FV:

Conditioning:
AG#41 - Vienna Lager - 5.6%
AG#42 - Heritage Double Ale - 10.5%

On Tap:
AG#44 - Harvest ESB - 5.4%
AG#45 - Amarillo Gold APA - 5.2%

that's great to hear on the priming, as I have a range of bottle types too.
I checked on the fv last night and the foam layer (there was a 1cm layer for the last 5 days) on top has only just started to sink down, after some Reading it seems like wits often take a while for head to drop out.
I'll be bottling at weekend and will report back with fg.
The ambient temp has been 25 ish the last few days, fingers crossed this hasn't negatively impacted, time will tell :)

how was the tarwebier?

Just be sure you have the right caps for the hoeG and champagne bottles, a regular 26mm cap wont work, you'll need 29mm ones

Aaaaieeee, I just spent the day remembering why I hate bottling...
Although the Blast Bottle Washer and little bottler I got saved tons of time, still a pain.

So after 13 days in FV the Hoe-clone is now safely in bottles in my garage, with ambient around 20c so should be nice for conditioning.
My FG was 1008, so that should be around 4% ABV... nice.
I had a small sample and it's really nice, I couldn't compare it to Hoe just yet as it was only a mouthful, but intially much much better than the 'Beers of the world Belgian Witbier' which ended up really fruity/winey. I'll report back with a more detailed tasting when it's had some time in the bottles carbed.
I used 200g of priming sugar batch mixed, and used a WIDE range of bottles, so fingers crossed they hold up.

Just had a taste after a weeks conditioning. Poped a 330 bottle in fridge on sat and sampled on Sunday. Big :) it's great, spot on carbonation, big head, cloudy, subtle orange and Banana, smells just like hoe, heavier body to hoe, less light/watery, colour is darker as expected. Overall everything I could hope for, it would be good to taste side by side, if it lasts long enough :)

Update after a month or so conditioning: still loverly, supplies are fast disappearing though, everyone who has tried it has loved it.
The citrus and banana have faded with age, still great, but next time I might add more orange, perhaps switch the peel for marmalade...
I highly recommend this brew for anyone seeking a nice Hoe like brew, but isn't ready for AG just yet.

Sadly not, I finished the last bottle last week, I might have a few from the brewday though, I'll take a look.

I was thinking about using the Coopers Wheat Beer for a similar recipe, glad to hear that it turned out fairly well :D

cool, let us know how it goes, I imagine almost any similar kit would work just as well.

Tried this a few weeks ago using:

Edme Superbrew Wheat Beer 40pt
500g Wheat spraymalt
500g dextrose

10g Coriander seeds
70g Orange peel
16g saaz
16g East Kent Golding

Danstar Munich Wheat Beer Yeast

Copied your method just changed a few quantities,
Left it in primary for just over 2 weeks, OG of 1041 and the FG ended up at 1004.
Bottled and primed with 6g per 500ml bottle, and after just 3 days its absolutely amazing, one of the best clones ive ever done.
Thank you kindly for this, not sure it will last long with my mother and other half about :(

cool to hear it went well, I must say I loved my version too, by far the best kit related brew I ever did.
I've turned to the dark side now, with AG#06 on right now ;)
