You can never have too many odds and ends Incapete! I found myself rushing around on a 30 mile round trip just to buy a 50p sachet of Dry Beer Enyzyme when my Barley Wine stuck at 1040. I've now learnt always to have a sachet of that, some yeast vit and a spare sachet of yeast whenever theres fermentation going on.incapete wrote:Just bought the Almondbury kit... and a few other little odds and ends which I probably didn't need but looked so tempting while I was in the shopCan't wait to get stuck into it- probably next weekend if I can bottle my Sheraton's kit sometime early next week to free up the FV.
brewpaks almondbury old ale
I'm sorely tempted to buy another FV but I think my missus would raise an eyebrow about it.. she's still reasonablly happy while there's not too much kit around.
I'm buying an aquarium heater for the next brew as it's starting to get cold at night so I've picked up a spare lid for my FV- one can have holes drilled in it and I still keep a pristine one in case I need to switch back - the extra Gervin yeast, spraymalt and campden tablets were obviously all vital purchases
