Exiled Bradfordian wrote:Yep, the sale's on in store. I popped into Bromley today and the signage has now been updated with the new prices. Picked myself up three new kits - rude not to - which means I now have 5 waiting to be brewed. The wife's adamant that I won't have 2 FVs on the go at the same time so at £7.50 a pop I have 10 weeks' brewing entertainment (actually one is a wherry but at £14.25 it's no dearer than a Wilko kit and a kilo of spray malt).
Happy brewing!
Hehe, nicely stocked up then!

Indeed. Was very pleased with myself. It'll keep me out of trouble for a bit if nothing else. Now I just need to 'up' my supply of bottles, as I only have one brews worth empty. Time for a trip to the pub I think!

Dear wilkinsons
please put an end to your homebrew sale ,ive just visited my local store to get the washing up liquid i forgot the other day and found myself in possesion of a golden lager and a hoppy bitter. Now i find myself online ordering a wilkos stout kit along with 2.5kg of light spray malt .Due to your actions i am now having thoughts of imperial stupidly strong stouts.I must warn you,if i end up in a drunken heap i will hold your company personly responsible, and send you the bill for the kebab.
Yours faithfully

Hi Hippicus
I have to say that any thoughts of holding Wilkos personally responsible would have to be fully supported by a tastings session of said offending brew sent personally for my attention and review. should I find myself ending up in a similar state to your situation then I would gladly assist you in proving at the many inquisitions that would have to take place where reconstructions of drinking sessions would be seen as the only evidence accepted.

glad to see anyhow that the washing up liquid is still outstanding and your priorities are unquestionable. Lol

Just picked up an order placed less than 24hours earlier. Order process less than informative but very helpful staff more than made up for it. Brew on tomorrow

Hi andysbrew, looks like a good cross section of beers in your choice, catering for all angles ? You'll need more than 50 bottle caps though

I 'accidentally' popped into Wilko in Bradford as we were passing and 'accidentally' picked up a Geordie Winter Warmer and a Milestone Green Man while I was there.
Oops!

If anyone has bought any brewing sugar in the sale check out what price you've paid. I've been in 2 different Wilkos and the shelf edge said £2 reduced to £1.50 but at the till it came up at £2.50 with 25% off. It's not a huge difference but adds up if you've bought a lot. I went back with my receipts and got the difference back with no problems.

Does anyone think that they will drop the prices some more? I seem to remember they did at the end of their last homebrew sale.

25% is what the sale is and will go on into May ....then revert to normal. ..it's a cracking time to stock up and get ahead plus allows you time to try something new , you know when you say to yourself. I'm not sure if I will like that one .... Now the time to try it..
