Hi folks,
I have done some DIY to turn the cupboard under the stairs into a brewery (you can see the results on my blog http://bellsbeer.wordpress.com ) However, as it has no heating, it tends to stay a little under 18 degrees C unless I keep the house very warm and the door open. Can anyone recommend a good way to up the temperature of this room by a little? Or is this a bad idea, given I brew and store beer and wine in buckets and bottles, so the temperature should be something of a compromise anyway between all these needs...
I'd appreciate some advice, thanks
Dave
Best way to maintain higher room temp?
Saving me money
Looked over this thread out of interest and you guys have just saved me money - thank you!
Was considering buying an immersion heater because of seemingly slow/stuck fermentation but my "brewing Cupboard" is almost exclusively 18 degrees.
So I will now just ensure that I rouse the yeast when I haven't got an FG in the range I think I should have.
Also, I have heard mention of yeast enhancers... a quick lesson please?
