Brupaks?
Brupaks?
I am considering (after reading over the forum) trying a Brupaks beer kit as the concensus seems good.
Am confused over the method though - the wort I can understand (rehydrate - ferment) but the Hop "Tea-Bag"?
Do Brupaks require special kit (over and above the usual FV to bottle set up I already have)? And how does the tea-bag get used?
Has anyone got a downside to this make?

tea bag
Hi,
My first kit was the Brupaks Birkby Bitter.... i was pleased with the result, (although that tasted a little too bitter for my personal taste). On the strength of this I have just got a Linthwaite light to ferment ASAP.
The instructions are comprehensive but the tea bag is steeped in hot water in one of the cans (i think for 10-15mins) no extra equipment is required!
Hope this helps.

With the Brewers Choice range, you just need a pan to steep the teabags in. They get covered with a kettle of boiling water and left to brew for 20mins so nothing to worry about with regards to equipment.
They make a mighty fine brew for a kit too. I'm currently drinking the Old Ale (not my personal favourite though) the IPA is a good'un.

pride of yorkshire
i was talking about the pride of yorkshire series of two can kits. The brewers choice range looks good though, I fancy trying one of those.

Dan!
I have just brewed this and it is conditioning as we speak. It taste very nice already but I brewed it short to make it stronger and added 200g or muscavdo sugar so I really don't know what it would be like per pack instructions but I suspect very nice.PMH0810 wrote:Scammolden intrigues me too - love the name!
