milestone kit question

Post by pongobilly » Tue Feb 05, 2008 12:09 am

ive had my milestone olde home wrecker in fv for 7 days now and its fermented down to 1014ish, but in the instructions it states i should get a stable reading of 1009, having never had a kit thats fermented that low without enzyme im a bit concerned it will get to 1009 and leave me with a lower abv, ive roused the yeast to see if i can get it to drop any more

Nor me, lowest I've had with an all extract kit is about 1011, and IIRC that was a one-off.

I don't think I would be too worried about 1014, personally. Give it a rouse, and if it doesn't drop any more, let it settle back out a bit and bottle/keg it
