Wheat in beer kit

I was on holiday in the Lake district and tasted a beer called Bluebird XB.
The landlord told me it has a small amount of American wheat added to the beer which they brew themselves.

One of the best beers I've ever tasted.

My question is:
Is it possible to add a small amount of wheat into a kit beer.

And to be honest Wheat malt doesn't actually add much in the way of flavour unless you use a lot. It does improve head retention though.
