I'd just like to say...

...how delighted I am with this forum.

I recently moved from London to 'the Country' and in doing so have achieved most of my ambitions - a dog, a garden, a garage, a tea cosy and a car legitimately covered with mud.

One of my amusing friends suggested 'you'll be home brewing next' and never one to shirk a challenge immediately bought a starter kit which was accompanied with the (in)famous Woodforde's Wherry. Keen to get some insider tips and tricks and any excuse for hours surfing the internet superhighway, I quickly came across this excellent forum which is THE font of all home brewing knowledge.

To cut a long story short, I now have 40 pints of excellent Wherry into its fourth week conditioning and nearing crystal clarity (without finings) and about to put 40 pints of very good looking (and smelling) Colne Valley in the garage for its conditioning. Coopers Lager up next for the 'Summer Season'

Home brewing is a truly excellent hobby - progressively challenging and deeply satisfying - I can't wait to graduate to FG brewing.

SWMBO is also pleased (apart from the mess, but hey, I can do that making the Sunday lunch) as she is partial to the odd pint herself.

Anyway enough rambling - just like to say thanks to all for your contributions here, they are appreciated.

This forum with its collective knowledge has certainly done me good over my 6 month career in craft brewing. Since before I even had any equipment to brewing AG its been there all the way. God knows how people brewed before the internet and Jims' !

Hi there!

Wherry then Colne Valley - my first two brews as well.
And I couldn't have done it without the help and advice from this forum either. :)
