Congratulations on your first bottling :D Why do some of the caps have a "T" written on them?

T = test after 1 day to see if its carbonating ok, test every day after that for the warm week for the same reason. Then test a few days after they're out in the cold to see what the difference is.

Test again one week in the cold to see how they're getting along. Test on week two as they're halfway to full maturation. Test on week 3 as one week wont make much difference. Test again on week four to give you an inkling of what they'll be like in a weeks time.

Brew another two kits to replace what you've drunk and to create the ever important 'rolling stock' :D

Congrats BTW -what kit is it? looks like a nice stout.

Cheers for the positive comments guys-it smells great and i'm dying to get a few down my neck-it a muntons irish stout.
The "T" lets me know which ones have been primed with sugar/treacle-just a wee bit of experimentation.
Got a lager kit getting put on tonight then i'm gonna do a heavy.

By using plastic bottles, you can tell quite easily whether they are carbonating ok or not, just by giving them a little squeeze :D

Just like a bottle of pop, if they are carbonating well, obviously the pressure in the bottle builds up, and the bottle feels very hard! Otherwise, it feels soft, and you can easily press it in with your hands. When I bottle mine, it can take between 2-3 days before they feel like they are fully carbonated, and on more than one occasion I have thought that it hadn't worked, but keep the faith, and all will be fine!!

Enjoy!!
