I just brewed my 1st batch using my King Keg - I have followed the instructions to the letter & the beer (Tom Caxton's larger) has come out prity well EXCEPT it dont seem to have any alcohole in it !
it has good flavour & good fizz - it evan smells like larger

Any idea were I went wrong
Any addvice would be great so I dont do this again !

Thanks Nick

These may sound like daft questions but what makes you say there is no alcohol?
Did you add the sugar?
Did you let it cool before you added the yeast?
Did you get foam on the surface as it was brewing?
Were there any noticeable bubbles as it was fermenting, if so for how long?
Lots of questions I know but it will help people point out any problems.

Also do you have a hydrometer you can take a reading with? If not it's well worth getting one as they are only a couple of quid, and worth more than there weight in gold.

Hi there,
I added 1k of brewing sugar that I got from my local HB shop
I did let it cool of before adding the yeast. it foamed up well-about 2/12 3 inches on top of the mix in the keg with the lid on.
couldnt realy see any bubbles as the keg is thick white plastic.
I have just got a hydrometer,I didnt have 1 at the time.I evan placed the keg in my living room(from the start-didnt move it once it had started to ferment)as the kitchen is a bit cold.I keept the room temp at 22.5 -23 C
I'm thinking it is alcohole free because I drank 8 bottles in about 4 hours & if I was to drink that amount of larger from a pub or shop I would be half cut or worse-after drinking my beer I didnt fill like I had had any beer at all.
