Tonight i sampled my first attempt at homebrewing and i can honestly say that it was fantastic -this is down to me following the tips from you guys on here.
I'm hooked now and have a second batch brewing already-the enjoyment of a pint that you've brewed yourself is so rewarding.
My first batch was a Muntons stout and its really nice -i sampled both the normal batch(followed instructions to the word) and also a bottle primed with a 50/50 sugar treacle mix-prefer the treacle mix-its really nice and a smooth pint.
I've got a batch of lager brewing now and looking forward to it being ready-decided to try it with demerara suger and glucose to see how it works.
Thanks again for all the pointers-the guys at work are going to get a few bottles and i'll let you know what they think.

Im new to forum as well, and think its a great bunch of folk on here too!.
As i said in one of my earlier posts, think the experience here and way you can gain advice can be just as good as a book!..
There nothing more pleaseing than a good result from your hobby - and sharing it to get with good appraise...
I "PMd" one of the guys who gave me good advice - i get the feeling most on hear are happy to help - we all share a common interest....

BTW...im "on my way tonight" as ive been on my 2nd batch of TC which i learned from here...

Pleased to hear that your brewing is going ok for you two chaps. It's great to enjoy a beer or two knowing that it is all your own work & at the fraction of the price of a commercial brew.
