Hi everyone
Started my first kit after a 20 year lay off from home brewing, found all my old gear up in the loft and fancied giving it another go.
I planned to use a polypin once the beer had fermented but now I have a small problem.
Due to a surprise mini break it will be 14 days before I can transfer to the polypin, is this a bit too long in primary or should I rack it into secondary with airlock after a week, don’t really want to put it in polypin unattended just in case.
Great forum BTW, thanks in advance.

well done on returning to the brewing..

I'm only a few kits into the hobby but with my fermenting room at 20 degrees i leave most of my can brews for two weeks with no ill effects.

14 days should be fine.

Thanks for the replies, panic over
Really looking forward to getting back into it, reading all the great information on these pages it does seem I was doing a lot of things wrong before, like not being careful regarding oxidisation, treating chlorinated water before use and getting better results by not using sugar etc.
Better luck this time round hopefully.
