How long will brew keep

Post by frederick » Sat May 17, 2008 9:55 am

Hi.... assuming the beer after fermenting is kept in an airtight keg and CO2 is added on a regular basis ... how long will the beer keep ok for... 6...12 months or more. As I understand it, providing air does not get to the brew the length of time is endless... is this correct.
The reason I ask this is because I do not drink much.. one pint a day at the most and most kits are 36/40 pints and I would like to have a choice of a drink... say stout, barley wine or beer.
Advice appreciated.... Frederick

Hi Daab... many thansk ... I can see that there are many variables but it would appear that after 6 months one is on borrowed time... I will have to sup more often :D :D :D
Tahks again.... Frederick
