yeast nutrients, anygood?

hi,

diammonium phosphate + ammonium sulphate in one (youngs brew yeast nutrient.

i bought this today from wilko's, what is it supposed to do? is it basicaly insurance to make sure that there will be no problems with the yeast? add to flavour in any way or hasten up fermentation?

Personally I don't use them but they might be useful in providing nutrients in brews that lack them - such as those using a large amount of sugar (eg cheap kits).

does the sugar that u put in your bottles before you condition also add alcahol to your brew??

Yes, usually approx. 0.2%.
