Ale conditioning temperature

Post by Frisp » Fri Jul 04, 2008 6:03 pm

My Coopers dark has spent a week in the airing cupboard after bottling. The PET bottles are brick hard.
I have set my chest freezer up with an ATC800 and I have put my babies in there to allow the Co2 to absorb into the ale.
What is the ideal temperature fo this to happen.
I have it currently set at 12 C, working on the premise that as its not the tastiest of ales the colder it is the more palatable it will be.
But as Im new to the game and Im keen to learn. Someone out there please enlighten me. What temp should I condition at?

It doesn't really matter . . . The colder you get it the faster it will happen |(And the more will dissolve), then you just bring it up to storage temp . . .10- 12C . . . Or leave it at that temp for a week or two
