Am currently negotiating and keg swap with my HBS. After 4 or 5 weeks in secondary, brew doesn't taste off but is cloudy, sweet and flat. Having no spare FE and only one spare keg, is this savable, and if so, how?
If I put the beer in the spare keg, add extra yeast, I can't leave it sitting on the yeast.
No secondary
Given it's had several weeks in the barrel I would just drink it. At this point I think transfering it is risking infection/oxidation.
Have you tried finnings to see if you can get rid of the haze? Also, DBE may be an option if you fancy repitching some yeast as the original yeast has probably had it by now. That should get the sweetness out of ther way.

I have been there before and £25 worth of goods cost me £36. Am in no hurry to rush back but, in there is no other way, will have to stop by for a second fv.Bryggmester wrote:The Home Brew Shop, Frinton Road, Clacton, should have FVs. Never been there myself but I am told it is a fairly good LHB.
Too sweet, too flat, too cloudy. Am willing to offer up samples to those who would consider it drinkablestevezx7r wrote:Given it's had several weeks in the barrel I would just drink it. At this point I think transfering it is risking infection/oxidation.

All things considered, I think this brew'll go the way of all things and I'll try again with the replacement keg. I can always buy 40 pints of bitter for the christening!
