Adding honey

hi all,

Could you add honey to a vrew like a table spoon of it??

To lager or cider

what are your thoughts??? :?

You can add honey but you won't likely taste it in the end result and you must be sure to boil it to sanitize it. I am sure a tablespoon would have no effect on the taste of the final brew in any case, you will need to add a lot more but don't ask me how much. If you really want to brew with honey why not try making some Mead instead.

Of course I am of the opinion that if you want your beer to taste like honey maybe you don't really like beer in the first place . :)

I`ve just primed a couple of bottles of my latest brew with a spoonful of honey just for a tester. I wouldnt go the hole hog as it were on a whole batch unless I was sure it was exactly what I wanted.
A bit of experimentaton is a good thing surely in small doses in my mind.
