First brew Lager Taste
Re: First brew Lager Taste
This taste, is it a hard to describe, sort of chemical taste?
And does it taste a bit too sweet?
The reason I ask is because I too made the Vina Traditional Lager, mine was made up to 4 1/2 gallons. I made it just before discovering this forum board, hence a few elementary mistakes - made with supplied yeast (guess what, it took a while), water not treated with campden, white granulated Morrisons sugar used for brew and priming, siphoned via gob and tubing directly to bottles from initial FV.
My biggest problem was that most bottles (2 ltr PET)were flat, I don't know how but their tops had unscrewed a bit. Anyway, all bar 2 didn't taste very nice. I've still got 5 left that I re-primed. Haven't been brave enough to try these ones yet.
