Muntons Highland Heavy

First attempt at one of these.... it's a 3kg kit so no sugar required.

Only thing I may change is the yeast, I have several 'spare' Coopers sachets which (I think I've read on here), is supposed to be Safale.

Sounds like a good winter brew.

Sadly, no. The SG was about 1010...

Instructions state sub 1014 so I was happy with bottling today.

I'm not too fussed about strength, it's not not like I'm going to say "Only 4%, I'm not drinking THAT!!!" :D :D

This is one of the kits i have on the go at the moment, was bottled 3 weeks ago. When i happened to be in the garage this afternoon i couldnt help myself and grabbed a bottle to try it out. I think I may have over-primed the bottles slightly as there was a definite over "fizzyness". But the head was good smelled good. The taste was a little sharp but i think with some more conditioning it will be a good easy drinking beer - final gravity on mine was 1011, but again didnt measure the starting gravity im afraid.
