Geordie Lager Kit

Post by toshlad » Sun Nov 02, 2008 6:36 pm

I've been fermenting a Geordie Lager Kit for 12 days now and the hydrometer readings have fallen from 1048 to 1010 where it has been for 3 days. I was wondering if i should wait for the reading to fall to 1005 as says in the instructions or if i am ok to start on the secondary fermentation. For this i will be using a King Keg top tap which i know is not ideal but I don't have many bottles at the mo!

If anyone can advise me i will be most grateful

Thanks

Yeah, you should be fine to put it in the keg now - even if there is a little way to go (unlikely) the pressure relief valve on the keg will prevent problems. I presume you have some kind of CO2 injector fitted to your keg?

Hope it turns out nice! 8)
