I'm very new to all this, but i've read that I should bottle my beer when i've measured the SG staying the same over two days, this makes sense and its exactly what I did and thats all hunkey dory. I have a second vesel (demijon) from the same brew which was still fermenting readily when I bottled my main brew so i've left it a few days and its starting to slow right down now. i'm currently getting no more than one bubble a min through the airlock.
So SG aside what sort of bubble rate through the lock should i be seeing when it's time to bottle?
Or a better way of thinking about it might be, what bubble rate through the lock should i start taking SG readings?
When to bottle by the bubble question
Re: When to bottle by the bubble question
Ideally, when it stops bubbling altogether. There's no harm leaving a brew for a couple of weeks in a primary.
