I have just tasted my lager brew after 2 weeks in the pressure barrel. I found that the drink was cloudy and not as fizzy as you would expect lager to be. It tasted like lager - albeit lager that has sat on the side for a while!
Has something gone wrong or does it just need more time?

Giving it a few more weeks to clear should help the cloudiness, but you will find it hard to get the carbonation level for a lager using a pressure barrel as the pressure relief valve(rubber band) will vent excess pressure at about 10 psi.If you want your lager to have lots of fizz then you will really need to bottle.
