fermenting temperatures

hi guys im new to all this, this is my third brew and its currently coopers european.
but i think ive got a problem. My temp stick on, come today so i put it on and it was reading 18 c.so i moved it. #-o .it is my 3rd day in fermenting. i no i shouldnt of moved it but worried it wiil drop in the night.it also has the egg smell too.
have i ruind this brew or am i just panacking. would be very grateful of some information from you guys please.

if it's an ale, anywhere between 18C and 22/24C is acceptable, go too high and you'll get odd flavours produced and way too high will give you stuff that hangovers are made of.

Go too low and the yeast will go to sleep and you may have trouble waking it up to finish the job.

thanks for quick reply, all i no is that it is european larger.any advice on the egg smell.thanks
