Can Anyone recommend a hoppy golden ale kit?
Something along the lines of a Badger First Gold, or a Shepherd Neame Early Bird???
If that is at all possible with a Kit brew??

:) Thanks as usual for any info :)

Brupaks Fixby Gold with some extra steeped hops? you can't go wrong with some Goldings or maybe Fuggles.

if you don't mind paying a bit extra then there's the munton's premium gold range kit midas touch which is described as "a refreshing light pale ale with a rich golden colour and a distinctive hoppy taste".

Both those sound good options, the Muntons kits are 4.1kg, but i can't find the weight of the Brupaks kits... anyone know.

Cheers guys :)

I think the Muntons Premium Gold are 3.6kg and the Brupaks Pride of Yorkshire are 3kg

I will second that. I helped a friend make this kit, but with cascade hops. Just boil a kettle and steep (soak) about 30g of hops for 15 minutes in one of your empty malt extract tins and strain into your beer.

It turned out better than any kits I had done. (I only brewed woodforde's kits though  )

tbh Jubby, that's probably that's what lacking in kits, the hops, especially aroma so sounds like you've made a winner there.

Cascade is a very good aroma hop
