Re: Looking for kits to try!
The coopers are good single can kits and are worth a try. Or, why not grab some hops and "alter" a cheapo kit to something of your likeing - maybe 30g goldings dry hopped in a Youngs bitter?
Woodfordes are good two can kits but iirc suffer from stuck ferments so either change the yeast or be prepared to stir it up every now and then

I'm planning these two next time up. Just waiting for them to arrive.

I've just kegged my Terrier (no puns!) and had a little sample and my word it tasted superb!KevP wrote:I'd be interested to hear how these York kits work out mate, sound interesting, keep us informed please?Lillywhite wrote:I'm planning these two next time up. Just waiting for them to arrive.

Only one complaint about it was the huge amount of sediment and 'loose' hops that were floating about from the pellets.
I bought mine from the brewery itself a couple of weeks ago. I know the brewery bar/tour manager and she told me it is nearly as good as the real thing and she wasn't wrong. It's also £5 cheaper from the brewery but you have to go there and get it yourself!

I wish that I'd done the brewery tour when I spent a day in York 18 months ago.Scotty Mc wrote:

But I did get to visit all three of their pubs.

There is a shop at the Yorkshire Terrier but I'm not sure if they stock their beer kits.

Cider Si; The stuff ye list as to ye liking is purely based on ye own experience thus far.
I would like to suggest then that ye try a completely new experience. Coopers Stout.
Please don't think; " Yeah but, I don't like stout. I've tried Guinness and it was horrible. "
I didn't say try Guinness. I said try Coopers Stout.
Ye can trust me on this

If you ever see a John Bull Masterclass Executive Bitter kit, buy it. It is possibly THE best kit I've put together. Unfortunately the company produces it has closed.
