I used some real brewers yeast in a Wherry kit. I made it to 1.045, and after 48 hours it was down to 1.015, and now it'w down to 1.012.
I've never heard of such a fast fermentation, but the yeast I used had been skimmed from a brewers batch about 1 hour earlier, that's what I call a Flying Starter!!! It had spewed through the airlock and generally gone mental for 48 hours.
Think I'll wait another day, check the FG and keg it. Can't wait!
SUCCESS - Wherry kit with different yeast

Well done. My Wherry kit took 11 days and only just touched 1014, that was after pitching 2 Safale S04 yeasts too. Been in the keg a week and already tastes nice.
