Just got my can Cooper's Stout and 1kg of MDME and raring to go. Do people use the yeast that comes with the kit? I've got some S-04, S-05 and Windsor arounf too and I'm not sure what's best :?:

Doc; I've used both. Right now I'm using the stuff with the kits, simply because the cost of so much SA, in addition, would actually be quite scary! That yeast is great stuff ~ the SA ~ but it's not exactly free, is it?

Heh - this is looking a fine beast, that muddy brown froth is banging on the FV lid like a mad chimp trapped in a drum. It's filling the kitchen with the finest of smells which goes lovely with my morning porridge! Reminds me of having breakfast as a kid down Waterloo Road when Stangeways was firing up a brew...

Sounds to me like we have another one ready to join the Fellowship of the Fervent Ferment! Much more of this and we'll have to be devising a dodgy hand shake, so we can recognise each other in real life!
