coopers stout help

Post by cmason561 » Fri Feb 27, 2009 10:15 pm

last friday i started a coopers sout. I used 1kg of dark spray malt. I wanted a stronger brew, so i only used just over four gallons of water. SG was 1044. It fermented away like crazy, as the coopers stout is renowned for so i read. I took a reading on Wednesday and it was 1008 i took another reading today and it was still 1008. has it fermented out properly do you think or have i suffered the dread stick?

the stick seems to be around the 1020 mark so it looks like you're not under threat of that. If you're concerned it hasn't finished leave it a couple more days, or until you're sure the reading hasn't changed then move onto the next step.

Personaly, i'd look at that as finished.
