Hambleton Bard Not-very-amber-ale

Post by PMH0810 » Fri Mar 27, 2009 4:44 pm

Hi all

Yeast pitched last Sunday a.m. this one has fermented out (despite all the usual, is steady at 1.010 even though the destructions state final og sh be 1.006). It is murky still and loks like my old gran's fatty gravy.

Slight smell of sulphur to me but SWMBO assures me it's beer and I'm panicking.

Anyone else done one of these?

I read that all wrong, sorry I can't help....
I read it as 'Farty' rather than Fatty..... which gave a whole new meaning to what you were describing!!! Yuk!!!

i've done the lager supreme and thought it was sh**e. when i bottled it, it did smelled like beer but was very cloudy. however it cleared up well. it just tastes horrible. hope your ale turns out much better.

It would appear mine may well be in the same boat then. Cloudy as feck after 10 days, smells like beer. Kegged - so we'll see i 5-7 weeks...
