How long does a keg take to condition? If I did one today would it be ready for Chrimbo?

Depends greatly on what you're making.

I made a mild last weekend with an OG of (1.033) which was perfect 7 days after brewing it.

I would say you could possibly get away with a beer around 1.040 or below in time for christmas, but nothing stronger. Maybe a wheat beer, too, but in my experience (nobody elses it seems!) they take a while to ferment out.

It was a kit concoction with an OG of 1040. Been in primary since 21st November (!) as I have not had the time to keg it before now.

Primed the keg and transferred today (King Keg). Beer looked relatively clear but I'm more concerned with flavour than anything else.

Hey Immy's Dad, been a while since I've seen you around. How are things?

I thikn that since you have had the beer in primary for so long, it may take a little time for your beer to carbonate. Outside of that I would imagine your beer will be ready in time for Christmas.

For carbonation you only really need a couple of days. The rest of the time is just the beer maturing. The longer you leave it the better it will taste. Still, should still be great for christmas :D

I fermented a youngs kit for 6 days and kegged it for 14 days and it tasted fine.

3 weeks in primary and 10 days in the keg will be fine,a few days for the priming to happen and then some time at a cooler temp to help the beer clear!
Works for me :D
