Sunlight question

Hi, I've got my bucket fermenting in the kitchen... Will sunlight harm the brew or make it taste funny?

Or should you brew in a dark place?

i personally didnt bother with blocking out the light until my last brew as it was a lager and took 3 weeks to ferment but the easiest way to block out the light is to put a black bin bag over the bucket.

Thanks for the tip, just moved it out of direct sunlight and bin bagged it
