Flat appletizer and pear drop.

Well I think it all seems to working ok at the minute.
OG 1.046 (26°c) 11.30pm on the 01/06/09
SG 1.006 (23°c) 4.00pm on the 07/06/09 (first time checked)

I read somewhere that you are meant to dispose of the sample after checking the SG. So I did it the best way I could think of by drinking it. Cloudy, Warm, Watery flat appletizer whilst sucking on a pear drop!!!!. Don't know how else to describe it. Will take another SG reading tomorrow at 4pm. Still seems to be plenty of gas pushing on the lid of the fv though. \:D/

Has anyone tried one of these kits. Just wondered if everything sounds like it is heading in the right direction :?: . I am hoping once the SG gets down to 998 (steady) and primed and bottled it gonna get better.

I don't think it'll drop much more than 1006, it's been fermenting for 6 days, it's probably finished. you certainly don't want it at 998 that would be undrinkable I'm sure.

Would be very dry at 998, but not undrinkable - nice chilled, or if too dry, and blob of honey to the bottle of the glass before pouring
