Post by simoncummins » Wed Jun 10, 2009 7:29 pm

Went to my keg and found it had no presure at all it's been leaking through valve so have taken lid off added a bit more sugar put on new cap. 24 hours later have a bit of presure and beer tastes ok. Do you guy's think this will be ok. Thanks Simon C.

You've got pressure again so it should be OK.
Best wishes

As long as you found and fixed the leak should be fine.
I had a similar issue, so rushed to the LHBS got replacement rubbers then pressurised with the gas bottle, drank the lot it was fine just had to keep topping the pressure up a little more often than usual. Still lasted long enough to drink

What type of keg and valve are you using Simon ? Reason I ask, if it's a budget barrel and budget cap, I've had problems with the budget cap, the valves are rubbish. Also, did you use a good smear of vaseline on the seal ?
