Adding honey to a kit

I would just like to know if its possible to add say a kg of honey to a kit of beer or lager. I would like to try it to bitter or mild rather than lager though.

I have a youngs bitter kit, what are your thoughts about adding a kg of honey rather than a kg of sugar??

I've never tried it, but was thinking along the lines of adding some to a Coopers Australian Pale Ale kit. There have been a couple of recent threads on honey
