Panic.... lesson learnt

hi newbie here :D
my first beer batch in many years a bc ipa started yesterday plonked in the conservatory wrapped in a foam mat with fish heater
glorious day today of course duh only just realised how hot :shock:
whipped out themometer 28c !!!
anyway now under the stairs a cooler more stable temp
question will this temporary spike effect the beer

I've not done it myself, but I've read some say that too high a temp can also impart a homebrew "tang" to the beer - others will no doubt comment

You may find a twanginess to it, but a short period at that temperature, well you may be lucky.

You may well get excessive esters and higher alcohols in your beer. It won't kill you but it might not taste great.
