just found a load of cheap local strawberries
so i bought some aj and brewed it all up and slung it into another dj so another gallon of tc under way
a gallon of fruit tc blackcurrent burst has now gone into the shed to cool condition
and the last taster bottle of tc#2 is chillin in the fridge
im going to have to get to my local for another 70 magners bottles
and throw out of the way the lawnmower and strimmer and toolboxes from the shed at this rate
SWMBO was at work so dont know about this extra gallon lol

I've been brewing non stop for the past 13 month, with only a slight slow down at the beginning of the year. Last month I had some friends stopping over so I put on my own beer festival. 17 different beers plus cysers, ciders, mead, wine etc. Was a bit busy when the time came so I just grabbed bits and pieces of what was made from the garage (my main storeroom). My intention was to get in there and sort everything out properly. Anyhoo the 'festival' was a moderate success. Most of them brought their own commercial filth with them and I did my best to drink as much as I could possibly manage of the home brew. Looking at the bottle situ after they left I was thinking that my stash had took a bit of a battering.
On Wednesday I finally got round to sorting the garage out. Got myself some new shelving/racking things from Argos and in I went. Jeeeezaz have I got some booze. Considering how much I've been putting away on an almost daily basis for the last thirteen month I'm still the proud owner of just over 140 litres of different beers. Then there's the wines and TC's, cyser, and mead. On top of that I've got 3 DJ's of wine bubbling away and an FV full of bitter that's going to need bottling this weekend.
I feel ashamed of myself. Call myself a drinker? Sorry lads. I need to put some serious effort into this backlog.

Lidl Red Wine Recipe

4x 1 litre cartons lidl red grape juice
1lb sugar
2 tsp citric acid
1 tsp nutrient
1/2 tsp tannin
1 tsp pectolase
1 tsp yeast (i use youngs high alcohol)

1lb of sugar makes a sweet red but i do change my levels have gone down to 8oz sugar but this makes a very dry red,i've got 2 demi johns on the go now 1 with 10oz in and 1 with 12oz

its the one from the foruoms "other brews"
swapped 2litres of the 4 to a cranberry and raspberry juice aiming for a rose
didnt have the youngs yeast so i used newcaslte
didnt have citric acid so i used squeezed tangerine juice
was a bit slow to start fermenting so after 24 hrs i put in another tsp of newcastle and shook then it started fermenting
after two days i topped up with oj
going great guns
