First off, get a sachet of youngs cider yeast (or champagne yeast) from your LHBS or ebay
For the instructions - you would need to know the amount of fermentables to add to the kit (if any) the kit should say how much sugar to add. does it say so on the label?
If not, how big is the can - what is the weight of liquid malt in it?
once you know those, and are properly sanitised, you dissolve sugar in the liquid extract (or in water) and make the kit up to the number of pints it says with cold water.

Hmmm I misread again, damn.
No instructions you said, if it's a 23l kit it'll need a kilo of sugar added water to make it up to 23l and yeast pitched on it.
Then leave it 3-6 weeks in a fermenter and bottle it or keg it, priming with sugar or not, depending on whether you want it still or fizzy.
