Airlock blowing out Young micro brewery

This is my 1st homebrew and all is well.
The airlock keeps spitting water and I need to keep refilling it.
I a little worried I may let bad air into the brew when refilling, or accidently pouring water into the brew.
On the first evening the brew exploded the airlock out completely as it got stuck.
Has anyone else had experience with this type of airlock from Youngs.

Dont overfill the air lock, you only need just enough to create the 'trap'
Dont be concerned about 'bad air' getting in as the pressure in the FV is higher than that outside therefore the outside air cannot get past the airlock
