Wherry stopped, but Muntons helped!

Hi All,

My latest brew is a wherry kit. It never seemed to really get off to a good start and i have never heard it bubble through the air lock. I started it on the 02/09/09 so its had 12 days now. After a week it was at 1020 so it has been slow but i thought i'd give it a few more days to see if it lowered. After 10 days it was at about 1018 so i emailed Muntons and the chap said he would send out some more yeast (very good customer service, he replied back very quickly). This yeast is probably in the post but will it be too much too late?

What should I do, add the yeast or bottle it?

Might be an idea to rack it into another fermenter then add the fresh yeast as the current yeast cake is getting a bit old. Did you rouse it at all?
