Brewferm - Framboos - sediment?

Post by injac » Sun Oct 04, 2009 4:05 pm

Hi All,

Currently got a batch of Framboos on the go - bottled just over a week ago. Went to have a look today and I'm probably just been a bit paranoid but its something I've not noticed as much before on other kits...should there be quite a bit of sediment at the bottom of the bottles? Not tonnes of the stuff but cetainly more than I'm used to seeing..a bit of a shake and a few tiny lumps start moving around. Should I start shaking the bottles every couple of days to try and shift some of this away....?

I don't think you should be shaking it; the sediment is in there and you need to let it sink to the bottom and solidify as much as possible.

don't shake it. it'll be fine, perhaps there was more yeast still in suspension with this batch when you bottled it. should have settled into a good plug by the time its ready to sup anyway.
