mixing light and dark spaymalt

Hi to you good people, i want to start making my IPA kit, i have a 500g packet of light spaymalt, a 500g packet of medium spaymalt.
can i mix them both together to make 1kg ? also have a packet of goldings hops how do i use these? i really appreciate all your advice

No problem using both light and dark obviously the dark will change the colour darker and add a slightly different taste but will be fine.
As its a kit you have a joice of two things with the hops I believe (others may correct me) you could make up a hop tea and add to the kit when mixing it all together, a search on here for hop tea should help with more detail if needed.
The other option is to dry hop which kind of depends on how your going to serve, after ferementing you could leave it to settle and a kind of secondary ferment with some hops before you bottle or barrel, the traditional dry hoping is added to the barrel but I'm not sure if this is a good idea with a pressure barrel as it will be sat in the hops for quite a bit longer than the usual couple fo weeks.

Thanks for your quick replys guys, would it be best to buy another bag of light spaymalt, and just do 1kg of light,as for the hops
maybe i'll steep 25gms in water for 20mins or so then add this to the fermenter . hope that makes sense ?

If you have the stuff for it already, go for it, just it won't be a pale ale per se.
