i was a bit naughty, but couldn't resist.
my great eatern was in FV for just over a week, had just over a week in the budget barrel in the kitchen to prime, and is now in the shed conditioning, problem is i couldn't resist so had to have a little sample.
taste was fine, and obviously only going to get better, and hopefully clearer when properly conditioned, but it seemed a bit low on alcohol, or is it just me?
maybe if i do another 1 i will add some extra sugar or soething just to boost the alcohol, not complaining though,i could have quite happily had a few pints, even at this early stage.
Anyone find great eastern a bit weak?
Re: Anyone find great eastern a bit weak?
One week in the keg before tasting is not enough. Allow at least 6 weeks to clear, condition and fully mature. Then make a judgement.
