Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a decent wheat beer kit i can try?

Also is it the same procedure as the beer kits ive done, or do you have to do more with a wheat kit?

Thanks in advance

They are generally the same as normal beer kits. The brewferm kits are meant to be good (I've got one but not started it yet). I helped a friend start his brupak one but that include a couple of teabags that you have to soak (one had hops the other have corriander seeds and orange I believe - similar spices to hoegarden?)

The Coopers kit is as good as any I`ve tried. Make sure you change the yeast though, WB -06 is as good a dry yeast as any. I`d use wheat malt extract as well rather than normal light spraymalt.

i made the coopers wheat with kit yeast and 500g lme and 400g sugar and 20g aurora hop tea.....first attempt at a wheat kit. 2 weeks in primary/ 5 days in bottle. Tastes very nice but a bit lagery as i used regualr barley lme instead...it looks absolutly fantastic , lovely colour and head. Will definitly do it again but will use 1.5kg Coopers wheat malt extract next time.

still very happy this will suit lager drinkers who dont like full on flavoured ale's while still being better than bland yellow p!$$
