Post by MattyG » Thu Jan 25, 2007 9:20 pm

Hi all,
I'm sorry if this is a bit of a 'no brainer' but i'm about to keg ( next half hour) my fixby gold and was wondering when to add the clearing agent? is it now or after about a week in barrel? and why? do i need to at all, as my last brew seemed to clear without any help, btw my fixby gold has been in primary for 13 days.. if it helps
many thanks
Matt

i always add gelatin when i keg as you are about to, and ive had no problems only nice clear beer :) opeing the keg to add it later might risk infection i spose , i'd go for it unless someone knows better

Thanks for the help, I opted for putting it in now with the priming sugars, the keg is now sealed and i have the painful wait untill its ready. What should i do in the mean time? I think i should do another kit, any suggestions? I still have a spare empty keg.

Cheers

Matt
