Bruapks Dusseldorf alt-bier

Post by brassedoff » Wed Dec 16, 2009 2:04 pm

I've got one of the above in the FV where it's been going for 8 days now. I made it with a 1.5kg can of dark LME which I've never used before. Currently it's sat at about 1.015 on the hydrometer. It is dropping slowly, but I wonder what I could expect it to go down to. Would it be worth giving it a gentle stir-up to help things along?

Suggestions on a postcard please.

Giving it a gentle stir worked a treat for me. My Milestone Blackpearl was stuck at 1020 after 8 days so I gave it a gentle stir everyday until i got to around 1012.

Not sure what your fg should be for that kit.

Just had a reply from Clive at Brupaks (nice man!) that indicated 1015 wasn't a million miles away from the FG for this brew...
