Woodforfds great eastern ale green yeast

Post by AFG » Thu Dec 31, 2009 5:26 pm

Hi, Ive just put on a brew of Great Eastern Ale, after failing with my last 2 brews (Bitter off tase) and buying all new kit.
#I sterilised meticulously and have just transferred to the keg.
The ale tastes OK, but the yeast bottom left behind looks green. Is this normal? Maybe its just the hop extracts,

Thanks

Andy

Why worry about the colour of the yeast? It's always a mustardy baby poo type colour anyway tending towards green I suppose....If the ale tastes alright then chances are it's all good.

Yeah this is fine - I think thy use S-04. I've likened it to a green lunar surface with the bubbles/craters in it!
