electrim te25 heater mat
electrim te25 heater mat
anyone know if these work? bought one off ebay but looking at instructions says maintains temperature at 25 to 27 degrees would this be too hot? most kits say temperature should be around 20 this is a last ditch attempt to get a great eastern kit down to bottling gravity been on the go for about 4 weeks with no sign of getting below 1012
Re: electrim te25 heater mat
I would be happy to bottle it at 1012 its unlikely to ferment further.

Re: electrim te25 heater mat
Hi I have a Richie 40W heated base and with loads of horticultural fleece around the FV and a triac based temperature control it maintains 70 deg all day in a unheated garage. You will need to run some kind of temperature control or it will exceed 75 - 80 deg in milder weather.
Re: electrim te25 heater mat
thanks brewjohn hoping i wont need to use it when weather improves been having trouble with great eastern kit which i put down to cold weather thought heater tray might get it going to a bottling point
Re: electrim te25 heater mat
9 am this morning and it was minus 5 outside here in Lancashire but the heated base was keeping my Wherry at 65 deg F in an unheated garage so its not doing too bad !! Am thinking now of putting it in a insulated box.
